Jean: We mail over 2000 pieces a year from three locations now. The Stamps.com account allows us three uses. As the main holder of the account I can: 1. Keep track of each account2. Fund the account so each one of the uses doesn't have to worry about that.3. We get a discount on postage. The mail is sent through the USPS. I imagine they have calculated that it is price beneficial for them not to have me, Jan and Bridget go to the post office and stand there and price each parcel we are mailing. I mail about 450 Bulb Gardens each quarter.Post Card reminders for renewal of membershipNew Member packetsFulfillment of special book offers that we sponsor using Media Mail for domestic deliveries. Problem is the post office doesn't have stamps that make it easy to affix postage to the Bulb Garden. I've had instances where I have to attach three to four stamps in different denominations to each one. Crazy isn't it. So now I weigh each Bulb Garden for each destination class and print the postage at home and drop them off at the PO. I have essentially five different classes. DomesticCanadaMexicoTwo different overseas. For some reason a Bulb Garden to New Zealand is cheaper than a Bulb Garden to Europe. I've been doing this for over 15 years and I think we have the best operation we can given the parameters we have to operate within.
