 Ben,
The medium is based on M&S salts plus sugar and you can get it from Phytotech Labs:

The flow box I'm looking at is this one.  Smaller than I used to use for orchids but I'm not replating into quart bottles!

If the links don't come through, send me a private email.
I don't think I'm "commercializing" our list, as these are things I'm buying and not selling!  They are not necessarily unique.  The mushroom and dope growers have a number of solutions they use for portable clean spaces depending on the sterility level desired and the size of the operation.
And further to the earlier parts of this thread, many "wide crosses" might yield occasional viable offspring, but incompatible chromosome numbers suggest that they would likely be sterile.  Still, one plant can be propagated via cell culture; most triploids are sterile, e.g., but that hasn't stopped people from making lots of very fine triploid hybrids by crossing a diploid and a tetraploid.  So the triploid is a dead end but a great plant anyway.
