Indeed there exists C hungaricum. Native to SE EU. There are two cultivars I’m aware of: C h ‘Valentine’ (light pink) and C h ‘Velebit Star’ (white). Lots of info online. Winter/early spring blooming. Looks like a crocus. Very cute!
