I think season and location would let everyone know the timing of the image

Use the season rather than the month when describing the flowering time, so there is no confusion between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
It would probably be a good idea to expand a bit on this idea: not just Spring, but maybe Early, Mid or Late Spring.
