I live in a remote area - the Azores. While packages make it to the hub Post Offices in Lisboa or Porto in a few days, it can take up to an additional 10 days to reach the Azores. It takes about a month for a package from the PBS Bx sent from Germany to reach me. As a result, I favor seeds over bulbs or young plants. The extra warmth in warehouses or a ship's hold can cause growth out of season, or a bulb will have white growth due to lack of sunlight (when bulbs are tightly packed, the new growth is restricted and can be warped). Customs has also become so restrictive that I just gave up and buy seeds from companies in Europe that did all that extra work. Since Brexit, I haven't bought anything directly from the UK.
