Someday I will devise a more organized way to mark what pots to begin watering in early September. Meanwhile, I just happen to notice some pots sending up shoots from completely dry soil. Some, like Oxalis livida, send up flowers first. So I thought I'd just write this in case anyone needs a wake-up call. We had such a cool summer here that my Veltheimia only just turned brown a couple weeks ago. And my Lilium candidum never went dormant.
