Hi, "small" is a very relative term - but I wouldn't use it on any of the non-yellow trimezias. "Fan on a tough stem" sounds a lot like the bamboo irises I. wattii and I. confusa, but they also wouldn't qualify as small FOR ME. If I'd interpret small as tiny I'd go for Ennealophus which really looks a lot like a miniature iris. you could try posting an image over at the forum....
