Another possibility is the Walking Iris, Neomarica (Trimezia?) gracilis.  It has flattened leaves like an iris, and reproduces by producing plantlets at the end of a flattened stalk, somewhat like a Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum).

I biought a plant called "false iris" some time ago...it has little flowers that look like small purple iris...does anyone
know the generic name of this plant...the leaves are fan shaped at the end of a tough stem
