I am currently living in Toluca, Mexico at an altitude of 2,500 meters. This part of the Mexican altiplano has a cool temperate climate and is the equivalent of USDA zone 10. I research orchids professionally, and, not surprisingly, most of my time and effort is devoted to this family. But I still find time to grow bulbous plants because it was bulbs that initially got me hooked on botany.
