Geraniaceae

Geraniaceae consists of 7-10 genera and some 800 species which are distributed in mostly temperate or warm temperate climates, some occurring in tropical climates. Plants habits range from herbs to shrubs. Leaves are often dissected, pubescent, and contain essential oils. The leaves in some cultivars of Pelargonium are used in culinary preparations. Seeds in some groups are violently discharged through a catapult-like mechanism. Species range from annuals to perennials.

We have the genera Pelargonium and Hypseocharis represented on the wiki.
