Kelissa is a former monotypic genus in the Iridaceae family, now lumped by both Goldblatt & Manning (2008), and GĂ©rman Roitman & Alberto Castillo into Cypella. The main differences between these two genera were in the stamens and style branches. The one species formerly in this genus has a reduced style and united filaments.
Kelissa brasiliensis from southern Brazil, a plant with yellow flowers with purple spots, is now known under the name Cypella brasiliensis.
