Miracle Gro as Tree Killer

Sadly, Ailanthus is notorious for redirecting all its energy into root
sprouts when girdled. They come up with a vengeance everywhere within the
drip zone of the tree.
This would be a good occasion for the hack and squirt (or your drill and
dope) method using glyphosate or triclopyr 4E (Garlon) because that kills
the entire clonal colony (with the exception of quaking aspen of course).
