Dear All,

Attached are some pics of Lilium candidum flowering for me this season.

The flowers were around 10-15 cm
wide on a stem over a metre high. They only produced 5 or 6 flowers per stem
but that could be attributed to growing in a 12 inch pot. Not the best idea
for this species!

Incidentally, I have heard this is one of the few Lilium species that
prefers to be planted near the surface of the soil. My bulbs of this species
have actually pushed themselves up above the soil level, or perhaps they
have grown new scales over the season that have come up to the surface.

Regards,

Dirk
