There certainly is a predator in the wild - porcupines seem to LOVE them. We have just come back from a seed collecting trip and we found dug out Ferraria corms everywhere. Many had been eaten, and many just left in the sun. I always bury them again in the hope that they will survive. Regards Rachel Saunders Cape Town
