Angelo: My boophone start into growth in early April and at that point I give them a good drink. I have fed them one per week while in growth with 50% african violet food as I do for my Clivia. They are currently outside in full sun and have gotten much water due to our unusually high rainfall this year. I have them potted in commercial potting soil with grit added to about 50%. As for the arum italicum the only difference I can see in he images is that your has a dark purple stem below the spathe and the ones I have are lighter green. Could it be that is the "albispathum" that is described. Arnold
