More info on my Delphinium finds

Dear John,

As I said before the plant you saw is Delphinium cardinale. There are only 
two red ones and the other, Delphinium nudicaule, blooms earlier, is found 
in a different area and is not as tall.

Delphiniums set seed after they flower relatively soon, especially it the 
soil they are in is dry. All of us who grow Delphinium nudicaule can 
testify that some of the seed gets away from you before you expect and 
comes up in interesting places.
