Calochortus venustus

I have added 3 photos of different color forms of Calochortus venustus to 
the wiki. It is wonderful to see how many variations one gets from seed of 
this species. My favorites are those with orange below the crimson, 
probably the type illustrated in Mary Sue's photo on the wiki.

These plants are flowering in the bulb frames. I would not expect them to 
grow well outdoors here because it is too cold in winter. They can flower 
the third year from seed and seem to do better in mesh pots (plunged in 
sand) than in clay pots.
