rodents, squirrels, and a cat

Carolyn and others,

I would borrow a live trap from the humane society, and bring the cat to them. My other suggestions might not make you happy. I'm thinking of a dog, of course.

This won't help your cat's battles but orange peels are a cat repellent. Spread them around your bulb plantings and the area should stop being a feline toilet for as long as the citrus smell lasts. No harm is done to the animals and the peels are easily replaced and cheap too.

Gary in Hilo, HI, where it isn't as cold tonight as last night; 70F/21C and dry.
