I noted no > difference I recently had rats digging in pots of palm seed. I put a very thick layer of powdered cayenne pepper (Capsicum annuum) on the soil in the pots. The rats dug through the layer of cayenne powder and continued removing seeds. A live trap baited with walnut kernels worked just fine. Leo
