This plant must vary in hardiness since several lots grown from seed
have failed to survive their first winter growing in a cold frame, though this
was in the 1990's when we had real winters here ( Zone 8 near Seattle ).
I have seedlings coming on and will report later on how well they
survive. It is one of the most gorgeous in the genus and well worth trying.
