Jim McKenney is right that he should have put his GYmnospermium in a gritty, free-draining mix, but if the tuber has not rotted, very likely it will survive to the next year if he dries it off now.

Although beautiful, the foliage of Gymnospermium species is a fleeting pleasure, withering quite4 early in the season. This suggests to me that the plant can survive a year in which the foliage is destroyed by frost or animals. One pot I have of G. sylvaticum was treated badly by our recent snowy weather, but I expect it will survive.
