Cardwell lilies

Thanks to all of you for your helpful info on Cardwell lilies

Now I know that I planted them too deep, in too big a pot, in standard
potting soil (not well draining enough) and let them get too cold their
first winter. Then they had a dry spring and early summer. The leaves
didn't come up until mid summer and they never bloomed.

I'll repot them crowded, shallow, in a fast draining mix, and bring them in
this winter. Hopefully next year they will be happier. I know for a fact
it will get hot enough for them!
