Ipomoea pandurata (yet again)

I had success with my new technique and 2 out of 9 seeds
germinated. This slightly exceeds my previous success rate of 0% for
the past 2 years. LOL.

I was surprised to see them both germinate as follows:

Is this normal behavior? The seed shell hasn't sloughed off yet, so
I don't know how many leaves are on each sprout. I'm guessing two
each? Are the seeds "twins"?

I can't find anything on-line about it. This seems odd (interesting)
enough that it should be mentioned somewhere.
