Just keep in mind that Mother Nature is none too fond of boffins' attempts to 
pigeonhole her children, so she makes sure there are gray areas around 
definitions such as those for tubers and corms.

Many geophytes are straightforwardly categorized as bulb, tuber, corm, or 
rhizome, but you may be sure that there are intermediate, borderline, and non-
conforming species.

Lose no sleep over the matter.
