Dear bulbophiles,

I rented a BBC Nature Documentary: Life in Cold Blood and was delighted to
see excellent footage on this interesting species and its role in the
Corsican ecosystem, specifically on how native lizards use the flowers to
help them warm their body temperature and capture flies that visit the
flowers. In the past 20 years these reptiles have also apparently learnt
that the seeds are good for eating. Their scarification and distribution of
these seeds has caused the *Helicodiceros muscivorus* population to explode!

I am happy to find a youtube clip of this to share:
http://www.youtube.com/watch/?v=Xv2K8-SuHLk , complete with amazing infared
footage.

Enjoy!
