There is some good information on the Chileflora website and I have had great results with the Chilean Amaryllids using Diana Chapman's vermiculite method as detailed on her blog. http://thebulbmaven.typepad.com/the_bulb_maven/… I did several Rhodophiala and the bags looked like salad sprouts. I now have several 6" pans full of seedlings.It even worked for some of the Tropaeolums too! Although in the future I'm goign to add a little perlite because i find that over time the vermiculite can get 'gummy' if germination takes too long. The best germination that I have had with Placea did occurr after a cold treatment. Marc
