Eucomis vandermerwei hybrids

In response to Tim Chapman's query, I inadvertently grew a bunch of
E.vandermerwei hybrids from seed supposed to be E. vandermerwei (and I
don't even know, at this point, if the seed was from my plants or bought in
from another source). One in particular was extremely handsome, with dark
leaves with ruffled edges and a deep pink inflorescence. I hope it has
survived my move - it's still in vermiculite in a bag in the basement, and
I haven't checked it lately.

Based on the appearance of this plant and its lesser siblings, I would have
guessed that the other parent was one of the purple-leaved E. pallidiflora
hybrids (or whatever they are), but I do not know. Seed collected from the
best plant was very fertile, and somewhere I have a bag of the first-year
seedlings, awaiting spring planting. Pollination wasn't controlled, and I
have a large collection of eucomis, so it's anyone's guess who the pollen
parent(s) of these seedlings is/are.
