Resons about growing Cape Bulbs in the South

I would see two potentially serious problems with growing many Cape bulbs
in Louisiana:

1. Excessive precipitation

2. High night-time temperatures in summer

That said, Crinum bulbispermum appears to absolutely love to grow in
Louisiana. Many Cape bulbs should do well there, but those sensitive to
moisture in their dormant season probably will not.
