Good evening Everybody! It seems that I will finally be the proud grower of a few Gethyllis species (seedlings, for now). I will /try) to cultivate them here in Portugal as Winter growers. What is your experience on their growing season cold tolerance? You can kindly check my average monthly temperatures at http://ipma.pt/pt/oclima/… but, in general, I get average monthly maximum temperatures (in º C) of OCT 22,5 NOV 18,2 DEC 15,3 JAN 14,8 FEB 16,8 MAR 18,8 and average monthly minimum of OCT 15,1 NOV 11,8 DEC 9,4 JAN 8,3 FEB 9,1 MAR 11 Occasional frosts in JAN-FEB, and the absolute monthly minimum (about 6ºC less) usually only occurs for 2-4 hours in the early morning. All opinions welcome, but actual experiences will be the object of profuse thanks!!!
