Hello everyone, I also use Pumice. For the more difficult Cyrtanthus species I use pure Pumice 2-5 mm. The root system develops very well in this material. I water a little more than usual, depending on the temperature. Since this material contains no nutrients, I give NPK 20-20-20 as a general nutrient and NPK 10-30-20 to stimulate flowering. Follow the instructions of the supplier!! This works very well for me here in Holland. Even in their dormancy I give a little water to avoid complete drying out of the rootsystem.
