I should add, Karl, that the orange one that is available commercially makes a lot of offsets, but the other ones are much slower to do so, usually producing only one or two per season. I am hoping against hope that the pink Bessera will produce cormlets, but time will tell. I crossed the pink one with a purple one, since it's the only chance I have to get seed from the pink one. I have a gut feeling they will all turn out to be purple, but it will be a while before I know. I plan on harvesting them next spring and donating the surplus to the BX. I love them and they're very easy to grow and flower but I'm ran out of space looooong ago. > > Warm Regards, > Fred Biasella > Cambridge (Boston) MA > USDA Zone 6b > > P.S. There is a picture on the > blog: http://www.thebulbmaven.typepad.com/ . Has anyone seen any other colors (other than the usual orange one and the purple one)? > > Diana > Telos > _______________________________________________ > pbs mailing list > pbs@lists.ibiblio.org > http://pacificbulbsociety.org/list.php > http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/ > _______________________________________________ > pbs mailing list > pbs@lists.ibiblio.org > http://pacificbulbsociety.org/list.php > http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/ > >
