Here in Massachusetts, zone 5 or possibly 6a when the glass is half full, I planted Lycoris squamigera last year at the suggestion of this forum. They started blooming August 1. I planted them against the south house foundation, which is cheating, and this year I plan to plant some out farther from the house and see what they will do. Does anyone know: do the red lily beetles eat them?
