   Dear David,
thank you very much for the translation of our words to Uli. In January
I had my 80^th birthday and I did not realize, that my answer to Uli
will go to all PBS members. My English is already somewhat rusty, but I
have the feeling that your translation of my mail to Uli did not
exactly hit my German words. Here I try to give the English version of
my German text and please be so kind as to critically check my English
   version:
   "Dear Uli,
Although we are not sure whether Obermeyer 1978: 363 correctly
accomodated the Ornithogalum pulchrum Schinz 1890 in Ornithogalum, but
it is certainly not an Albuca in the sense of Linnaeus! Do you hope for
a real "beautiful" Albuca <from Monica Swartz or somebody else in
   PBS>??
Up to now we have not yet seen a live plant to which the name
Ornithogalum pulchrum Schinz 1890 fits. If you suppose now to have
received true seeds or bulblets of Ornithogalum pulchrum Schinz 1890 I
would be very grateful to you, if you could send me some of these
   possibly most interesting plants."

Greetings to all Pacific bolbophilas bolbophilosque
   Ute
