I germinated them in water,under lights,like I do all other hippeastrum.They take up to thirty days.Start with sterile container and water.I use coffee cups. Change the water every few days. As soon as they put out leaf and root,put them in a well drained soil mix and liquid fertilize. They will not tolerate excess moisture or fertilizer.
