Mystery Tubers

I don’t think Gloriosa superba/rothschildiana/lutea - this in your photo lack the more distinct 2 pronged tuber of these forms (although I have seen Gloriosa superbas produce a similarly fat, triangular bulb).  Also, Gloriosa tubers don’t display the lined appearance of the outer skin on the tuber, as seen in your photo. 

I don’t grow G. modesta so can’t say for sure, but the photos in the PBS Gloriosa gallery point to this.  Not sure if this is helpful!
