Donation for the EU-BX now open

Reception for seeds and bulbs for the new EU-BX for countries of the
European Union is open now. All seeds and bulbs of plants with a storage
organ (bulbs, corms, tubers, rhizomes) are welcome.

Please  find the full information for donors on our website,
https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org/bxeu.html
Please read the instructions carefully and please be aware that this new
EU-BX is only accessible for members with a postal address in the EU
(and the UK for this year).
The address for your donations is

Martin Bohnet
Ludwigstr. 1
73035 Göppingen
Germany

His email address: garak@code-garak.de

Please remember to_*only send clean and healthy material*_, nobody wants
to spread new pests and it is not Martin‘s job to clean the donations

Can we ask you for a tremendous favour? /On a volunteer basis, of
course/. The workload for packing the donations into many small packets
is enormous, for seeds in particular. If you feel able to do so, would
you consider pre-packing and labeling your donations? We suggest
portions of 10-15 seeds per item if you have plenty, between 5-10 seeds
of the not so plenty, for the very rare ones maybe 2 per pack but not
less than 3 items. If the overall number is too small, it will cause
more frustration than pleasure within the membership as experienced
several times in the past. Please send your seed in one envelope for
each variety if you feel overwhelmed by this question.

COVID is causing delays in international mail, so please send your
donation in time. We will open the donation for a longer time than usual
for this reason. Closure will be announced one week in advance.

Please do not hesitate to contact Uli Urban
(johannes-ulrich-urban@t-online.de) our EU board member if you have
any questions.

We thank you very much  in advance!

Uli
