I have had a cat die of sudden kidney failure. We assumed at the time that someone poisoned it. No way to know for sure what the cause was. I’m not worried about the plants they might chew on, because generally toxic plants don’t taste good. But the problem I saw with lilies is that even the pollen is toxic enough that a cat licking pollen off of it’s fur could make it sick. Anyway’s my cats and my wife’s peace of mind are more important than having lilies in the yard when I can tuck them into the greenhouse.
