Eithea and Griffinia as garden plants in NC

Bill, 

That is fascinating.  I have been amazed by the variety of tropical and subtropical bulbs that are hardy in NC, but I never would have expected Eithea and Griffinia to survive.  Are you in the mountains, piedmont, or coastal plain?
