Hello Bruce, I grow both the red and purple form of Bessera. I’ve been growing them for many years. I place them in a cooler room for the Winter and keep them bone dry in their pots upright until early May here in the Northern Hemisphere. I have great success each year with a great many flowers. I repot every Spring to freshen the soil and separate the smaller corms. Erika Temperature of 11C this morning but a beautiful sunny day ahead. I have been amazed by the variety of tropical and subtropical bulbs that are hardy in NC, but I never would have expected Eithea and Griffinia to survive.
