Pauridia hybrids or variations?

While looking over my folder of things I intended to add to the wiki but
never did as there has never been enough time, I found some photos we
took when we visited South Africa in 2006. It was our last day in South
Africa and we had packed a lunch and set out with Rod and Rachel
Saunders to do the Lion's Head loop path trail in Table Mountain
National Park. I'm attaching a photo from that day. (Sorry I missed the
top of the mountain). This is a wonderful hike with great views and we
saw a lot of interesting  flowers as well.  Many of the photos of them I
put on the wiki at an earlier date. Towards the end of the hike we came
across some interesting Pauridia (think Spiloxene) flowers. I was
fascinated by the variations. There are a number of species of Pauridia
(Spiloxene) listed in the Wild Flowers of the Table Mountain National
Park field guide. Two of them flower in September, Pauridia capensis
(Spiloxene capensis) and Pauridia aquatica (Spiloxene aquatica). I
wondered if those flowers could be natural hybrids of the two species or
maybe just variations of Pauridia capensis. I've added photos to the wiki:

At this time when we approach Thanksgiving in the United States, I'm
grateful that I was able to spend time with Rod and Rachel and for
nature and the amazing flowers you can find when you are out hiking.
