I grow both, and my viridiflora has predominantly clear green leaves and is blooming now. Duncan illustrates both plain green and spotted forms. The vanzyliae has spotted leaves but blooms much later in the season here, and I think others have reported that as well. Mine is barely an inch out of the ground now, while the viridiflora is in full bloom.
