Small Lot Seed Permit

Hi-

I don't know if over the last couple of months, the permitting process has
been improved, but the PBS message chain from October might confuse people.
It did confuse me.

First, register for an account at
https://efile.aphis.usda.gov/s/

After that, use the drop down box to select PPQ 587

Select: (Intended Use) Plants for planting
(Commodity Type) Small Lots of Seeds

The next screen should take you to select the material type:
select SEED

Countries
(I entered the specific countries)

Articles:
*ELIGIBLE TAXA*

After that, I just hit 'next' on a couple of screens, accepted the terms
and submitted my application.

I had the permit in 2 minutes.

The last message chain had info about going into the new system, then the
old system to 'amend' the permit. This is not needed any more.

I hope this helps future interested parties.

Best regards, Lisa
