I’ve had amazing help once again from APHIS personnel who’ve gone out of their way to ensure I get seeds imported from England. In this case my early summer 2021 order was shipped on a permit that expired late November. We all thought that was plenty of time but when the shipment arrived in So. SF my old permit had expired. APHIS did not simply toss the seed packet because of the no longer active permit. They let me know what had happened, checked their records to find my updated permit, and once I’d sent a new, current label said the seeds would be shipped to me without delay. Both this interaction and several in August - including phone calls on a Sunday - when I tried to apply for an updated permit on their less than intuitive system show how willing APHIS personnel are to go out of their way to make their system work for us. I lose no opportunity to give them a big thank you for those efforts.
