Does anyone know if Doug is still alive? He used to be very active with this group in the earlier days and grew a lot of Veltheimia, Haemanthus, Hippeastrum and other plants. He contributed a number of photos to the wiki. I still have some veltheimias I grew from seed he gave me. He lived in Long Beach and I found an obituary notice for someone by that name who used to live in Long Beach. May 5, 2019 "Douglas M. Westfall, age 85 of Jackson, formerly of Long Beach, CA, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning at Forest Cove Nursing Home in Jackson."
