One way to control dandelion in the Pennsylvania Dutch country is dandelion salad which is mostly an excuse to eat bacon. They should be lightly cooked to remove bitterness. The hot dressing alone isn't adequate. The other way is a weak mixture of glyphosate and water soluble fertilizer.
