I think the apparent synonymy of Canna ‘ehemanii’ and C iridiflora is an artifact of nurseries or growers mislabeling the former as the latter. I’ve never seen the species for sale. In my garden, C. ‘ehemanii’ is a taller, more elegant plant than ‘Orange Punch’ or ‘Lemon Punch. I do like the color of ‘Orange Punch,’ but C. ‘ehemanii’ is definitely my favorite of the three. That intense magenta is really great.
