	Friends,

I have grown T sylvestnis in Kansas City for decades. It is extremely hardy having come though a winter of -10 F growing in very compact wind blown loess clay soil. In the shade it sends up a ’sod’ of single leaves, but blooms nicely in sun to partial shade.

Bulbs are very small (marble size) deep (over 6 inches) and difficult to dig. It grows in garden paths where I inevitably step on it during the season.

I think it is highly desirea if you can give it the conditions it favors. Best Jim
