Hi Bob; Amorphophallus napalensis is marginal here. It comes back really well for several years, then suddenly disappears, so overall I'd say it's not reliable in Zone 7b. Tony (Avent) may have some idea; he's grown a lot of Amorphophallus species. I do grow a number of other species, but haven't tried any of them outdoors - yet.
