If there is literally a possibility that this operation is shutting down or seriously downsizing, perhaps PBS should take the initiative to approach them and offer to take whatever bulbs are available and find homes for them. We are a nonprofit with a significant effort in both education and conservation. We also have so much expertise within our membership that any donated plants are likely to be well cared-for and passed along to other fanatics who will also care for them and propagate the species. I hope our Board will at least look into this matter and see if it is an opportunity for PBS to be part of any solution. You don't get anything you don't ask for, and we might be a solution to a problem that is just now starting to arise.
