Importing newbie question USDA San Diego

Hello All,

From my discussions with Bob Lauf and all the information provided in our
recent team discussion I was able to quickly ( within 10 days of
application ) receive my first set of stickers to import. I live in an
area, San Diego that has a local USDA import facility that accepts APHIS
eligible shipments. I’ve heard from a couple folks that they have not had
good luck with this facility, receiving shipments for various reasons. I
thought I’d ask the group if any of you have had bad experiences with this
facility. I also want to add that while my friend who has had trouble with
shipments through San Diego USDA eligible for APHIS is an experienced
importer, he has not used this facility for a few years. So I’m interested
in folks that have had import experience with APHIS eligible shipments of
plants San Diego in say the past 4-5 years?

On another note today 9-30 marks the end of the official Monsoon Season for
2021. Even in San Diego we had a couple rain events tied to it this
summer. I know AZ had a big monsoon season, curious to hear from members
in the west how their monsoon played out…certainly a small dent in the
drought but curious all the same.

Thanks

Mike

Another warm Santa Ana supposed to be on the horizon…I hope it fizzles out.
